Fee Schedule

The APS (Australian Psychological Society) National Schedule of Recommended Fee for psychology is $241 per session. At Perth Psychologists we charge $185.

We choose this fee because we feel that if our clients are able to get a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP with its rebate of $84.80 per session, then the out of pocket expense of $100.20 is more affordable. For those that want to go private, many Private Health Funds now also provide rebates so the cost of seeing one of our registered psychologists is within reach.

Medicare Rebates

Due to renewed interest in supporting mental health, government funding in recent years has increased. Psychology is now eligible to receive Medicare rebates for a range of issues.

To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you will need to see your GP to fill out a Mental Health Care Plan. Perth Psychologists are equipped to directly process your Medicare rebate straight back into your account after your appointment. The rebate is $84.80 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Private Health Insurance

Most health insurers now offer a part rebate for psychology counselling. If you choose to go private it is good to check with your health provider first. If you are covered we can email you your receipt straight after the session which you can use to receive your rebate.
